Dragon Buddhist Garden design story for school children
'Why the Dragons want a Garden in Shey' is a children's' story. A great flood almost destroyed the Buddhist school in 2010. So the dragons said they would help make a garden. But only if the children would help too. When the garden was lush with vegetation and buzzing with bees, two of the children decided to become landscape architects. The narrative explains the garden design and landscape architecture of making a Buddhist Garden in a cold desert environment. Ladakh, in North India, is known as Little Tibet, because it is one of the few places where Tibetan Buddhism survives. The garden is being made for the Druk White Lotus School DWLS.

tanks a lot this video helps me to i see a new prespective for my design as young junior architect we are have lots of problems is capital of iran and this idea can solve air pollution but still the gov desicions is not good for our captial but people can learn this culture for their own homes and its gonna improve the problem of roofs.
Good luck with roof gardens in Iran. I have not been there for 15 years and will be happy to make another visit when there are a good number to see! The balcony on the Ali Qapu palace in Naqsh-e Jahan Maidan shows that the microclimate provided by rooftops in Iran has been appreciated for a long period of time. Tom

Very interesting and inspiring. Shame the west hasn't the courage to govern tall building regulations. Once they're there light cannot reach plants, trees, animals and humans. Cold winds/draughts are very auspicious.
